Here at Mattress Online, we offer four different types of delivery:
Free Next Day Delivery
Did you know that around 95% of mattress orders are available with completely free delivery!
If you order before 4pm Monday to Thursday and before 3pm on a Sunday, you can have your item(s) delivered the next day, free of charge.
This applies to most UK postcodes. To find out if your area has delivery restrictions, please read this section.
You can choose to have your item(s) delivered on a weekend for an additional £17.50.
Once you have selected either ‘Free Next Day Delivery’ or ‘Weekend Delivery’, you can choose to have your item(s) delivered to a room of your choice. Premium Delivery costs an additional £20. This service is only available on mattresses and beds.
We may even add Premium Delivery to your order, free of charge, depending on the size or weight of your item(s)!
We're insured to carry your item(s) up to the third floor. However, if there's a service lift, we can usually deliver to other floors. Please get in touch for more information.
Unfortunately, our service doesn’t include unpacking your mattress for you or taking away any packaging.
Old Mattress Collection
When you purchase a mattress from us, we can also recycle your old mattress for you! This service costs £35.
When we deliver your new mattress, we will take your old one away and drop it off at a dedicated mattress recycling centre. You can find out more about our recycling service here.
Unfortunately, we can only recycle your old mattress if it is the same size or smaller than the one you have purchased. This is due to space and weight allocation in our delivery vans.
Postcodes with delivery restrictions
Due to their location, the following postcodes have delivery restrictions placed on them, meaning we can only deliver to you on certain days. Please allow additional time for delivery.
There is no additional charge for this delivery.

A £40 delivery fee will be added to your order when you checkout with your purchase.
The following postcodes have a 3 working-day delivery time and a £40 delivery fee:
- IV1 - 20
- IV30 - 36
The following postcodes may be subject to longer lead times due to our third party couriers and have a £40 delivery fee:
- IV21 - 26
- KW1 - 14
Our Customer Services team and delivery courier will be in touch to confirm your delivery date.
You will be alerted of the additional £40 delivery charge at checkout.
What happens on your delivery day
Here’s what you can expect on your delivery day:
- The evening before your delivery date, you will receive a 2-hour delivery time slot between 7am and 8pm.
- On the morning of your delivery, you will receive a phone call from your delivery team with an estimated arrival time.
- If you have selected mattress recycling, you will need to move your old mattress to your front door or to the main entrance of your building, ready for our team to collect.
- When your delivery team arrives, they will meet you at your front door or the main entrance to your building with the item(s).
- If you have selected ‘Premium Delivery’, our team will take the item(s) to your room of choice*.
- If you selected mattress recycling, we’ll load your old mattress onto our delivery van and take it away for recycling
- If you have selected mattress recycling and ‘Premium Delivery’, we can collect your old mattress from your room of choice when we deliver your new one
*We're insured to carry your item(s) up to the third floor. However, if there's a service lift, we can usually deliver to other floors. If you live above the third floor, please get in touch with our Customer Services team.
Can I change my delivery day?
Yes, you can! Simply get in touch with our helpful Customer Services team.
Do you deliver on Bank Holidays
Yes, we deliver on all bank holidays except:
- Christmas Day (25th December)
- Boxing Day (26th December)
- New Year’s Day (1st January)
What if my item(s) are out of stock?
If your item is out of stock, you will find the delivery lead time on the product page.
Once your item is back in stock, our Customer Services team will get in touch with you to arrange a specific delivery date.
Will you group my deliveries into one?
For most deliveries, we will group your items into one delivery - but this is not always possible.
If your items have been split into separate deliveries, they will still be delivered on the same day, but at different times.
In the rare event that your items will not arrive on the same day, our team will contact you to make you aware of this.
What if I miss my delivery?
No, we do not offer a bed assembly service at the moment.
Can you assemble my bed?
No, we do not offer a bed assembly service at the moment.
Who will deliver my order?
For deliveries local to Yorkshire, our Mattress Online team will deliver your order!
For deliveries further afield, we use the services of our highly trusted courier, Panther. For smaller items, we partner with DPD and APC to deliver your items. Occasionally, and if required, we may use alternative couriers.
Can I track my delivery?
Most of our deliveries are trackable. If your order has tracking available, you will be able to find this in your delivery email.
