FrancisHad the Emma memory foam mattress for 5 years before this one, it developed indentations where I lay so became uncomfortable. Feels very soft to sit on, but once you are lying down and the weight is spread out if is much like a memory foam just softer. So overall this one softer and more comfortable. Initially my lower back was a bit aching in the morning, think this is due to my sleeping with feet sticking/hanging out the bottom of the bed due to hip issues so I was out of alignment with sleep zones! Hip replaced on right side, and near needing left replaced, so tend to sleep flat on my back. Find this mattress is softer and more accommodating to my hip problems than the memory foam one it replaced and sleeping better now I'm getting used to it. Glad I made the change and happy with the mattress itself, see how long this one lasts. I work on changing mattress every 5 years now.

LouiseMattresses I know are very personal but this was not for us. It is very soft - if you sit on the edge of the bed the side collapses. I wanted to send back as I knew I had bought it on a trial. Totally my fault for not reading the small print, but the trial only allows you to exchange for another mattress the same price or more. You can return for a refund but have to pay postage. This was going to cost me over £100 and a lot of stress!! I ended up selling it... lesson learned.
