We've been named the National Bed Federation's Online Bed Retailer of the Year for 2026-27. That's seven wins since 2014, and we're proud of this brilliant recognition of the service we give you every day.
This award means that we came out on top when judged against a selection of the UK’s leading online mattress and bed retailers.
We are honoured to have won this prestigious award by the NBF - the recognised trade association representing UK manufacturers and suppliers of beds and mattresses. With over 100 years in the bed industry, NBF members now make up 75% of the bedding market in the UK.
We are incredibly proud of our accomplishments and are delighted to be repeatedly recognised by the leading consumer authority within the bed industry.
The National Bed Federation has strict criteria when it comes to judging online mattress and bed retailers.
To be eligible to enter the NBF awards, retailers must:
The judges look closely at how each online retailer looks after its customers, including:
They also look at how the business is run:
Across every area of MattressOnline, we are committed to providing high-quality service and supporting UK-based manufacturers and suppliers.

As well as being an NBF multi-award winner, MattressOnline is also an official National Bed Federation Retail Champion!
To achieve this, MattressOnline’s first brick-and-mortar store - The Bed Shop in Rotherham - met the NBF’s criteria of stocking at least 50% of beds made by NBF-accredited manufacturers in an independent audit.
Through our excellent service and exceptional range of products, we remain dedicated to meeting and exceeding the NBF’s criteria both in-store and online.
We are proud of the close relationship we have fostered with the NBF and its advisory board.
Since first entering the NBF in 2014, our CEO, Steve Adams, has become a regular judge on the NBF’s panel of experts and now works closely with industry figureheads on the NBF’s Advisory Board.
Steve’s journey with the NBF has led him to become a key advocate for sustainability within the mattress and bed industry. Working on the NBF’s Retail Advisory Board and with industry experts, Steve and the NBF team are currently focussing on mattress recycling within the circular economy as part of their ‘NBF Green’ initiative. This includes working with Zero Waste Scotland the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
Steve works with DEFRA and Zero Waste Scotland to protect rural sustainability and British agriculture and improve the sustainability of the mattress and beds industry at large.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for their support - we couldn’t have won these awards without you!
We look forward to continuing to improve our award-winning service for all our customers.
